I was born in Peterborough and grew up in Oundle, Northamptonshire in a very artistic environment, as both my parents are
practising artists.
I'm a sculpture graduate of Bretton hall, university of leeds and I lived and worked as a sculptor in Wakefield, west Yorkshire
untill
moving to London in 1999. Here I retrained as a painter,
specialising in portraits, I also worked freelance, designing
and constructing theatre sets and scenery.
I have worked as the Latymer Upper School Arts technician in
Hammersmith, west London for the last ten years. (and yes..I do
still get school holidays!)
I
currently live with my partner in Harlesden, north west London and have
become involved in the local arts scene, exhibiting in the
local
gallery. In addition,I've taken responsibility for a new online gallery
that showcases the work of NW10's resident artists.
I would describe my work as eclectic and stylised, I'm influence by cubism and artists such as Euan Uglow and Francis Bacon.
I'm a keen photographer so the starting point for all my work comes from my own photography.
Hope you enjoy my website and keep an eye out for new work coming soon......
