In my work as a sculptor, I explore structure, space and form using fabrication techniques that manipulate steel and found metal to create dynamic structures that utilise and celebrate steel and its limitless possibilities. My subject matter is driven by subtle narratives, illustrated by recreating and abstracting everyday objects, organic shapes and the movement found in plants, animals and the human figure. 


Pieces featured on this page may be sold but commissions are welcome and delivery is available throughout the UK for a small charge. All works are treated with two coats of anti-rust Owatrol oil unless otherwise stated. Commissioned work can be galvanised with a choice of colour finishes.


ARCADIA


Mild Steel square rod | 400x20x20mm | £595



'Arcadian' expresses quiet happiness, innocence and harmony with nature.

Constructed by cutting out hundreds of 10mm cubes that are welded together in a mould, with the features built up gradually by layering weld and then grinding back to create detail.


CERNUNNOS

In the Forest of Dean the 'Horned God' most commonly refers to Cernunnos, the ancient Celtic deity of nature, fertility and the wild. Rooted deeply in the region's ancient history, his spirit endures through localised folklore, modern neopagan practices and ancient artifacts discovered in the area.

These wild animal heads are a homage to the stuffed taxidermi trophies you find in grand rural residencies. This far more ethically sound collection is inspired by the deer and boar that are local to me in the Forest of Dean.
